Renée M. Browne is a Boston based artist working primarily in video, photography, and printmaking. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. Renée’s photographs, videos, and prints have been shown nationally and internationally, including at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the College Art Association Annual Conference in New York City, the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, Finland, The Situation Room in Los Angeles, and recently in a video exhibition curated by Micol Hebron for Fair., an alternative non-commercial art fair exhibiting women artists, including Yoko Ono and the Guerrilla Girls, in Miami. Renée’s work examines topics related to appearance and the female body, motherhood and family, and the intersection of our private and public personas, most often from a feminine perspective.
